Parkland Rave was purchased from Connie'e Dahlias in 2017. It has been an very good performer since then, so I certainly recommend having it.

Wecome to the Dahlia Garden
Welcome to our Dahlia garden located in Ottawa Canada.
To care for Dahlias and to see their own joy as they mature, give themselves to the world, and return to their world of hibernation, is a wonder to experience. The bees too are attracted endlessly, until the cold descends and then many of them simply die in the dahlia of their choice. Is it drugs or beauty that end their short lives?
Winters here can be long and cold, but the changes of the seasons are no match for the changes one sees from the planting of seeds or the sprouting of a tuber, to the magnificent flowers they produce. A dear friend once asked me “why are they so beautiful .. they don’t have to be so beautiful“
In this blog, we will try to document these beauties of nature. Each one is as unique and wonderful as the next, just like the folks who will find and read this blog.
This blog is organized by the name of the variety. The name used
is the cultivar name listed in the ADS Classification Handbook if it is
listed there, or the given name by the provider we received it from, or
in the case of a hybrid, the name I've given it, or in the case where
the variety is not named yet, it will be identified with three numbers,
e.g.
- 18.19.xxx [year of seedling].[year of photo].[id number]
- (a hybrid seedling of 2018 in it's second year of growth)
Near the end of the list, other topics are considered with the goal of helping you to grow your own.

A New Beginning
Website Failure Sept 2021.
My previous website was erased by trying to fix my email account. Oh my!
What Happened
In September of 2021, my email account in gmail became locked with a request to purchase more space.
As a result, I decided to manage the use of my storage space, so I erased emails instead, trying to get rid of the notice that was locking my account.
When this did not fix the problem, and my account was still locked. I started to erase everything that was not current from my Google Drive.
That did not solve the problem. I thought that maybe the Google "trash can" needed to be emptied, and found a link to do this, but the file names were not meaningful and I deleted them one at a time trying to get rid of the lock on my gmail account. By deleting one file at a time and checking to see if my account was working between deletes, I ended up deleting all my data without fixing the problem at all. The account now is still locked, and has no data.
After trying to fix email, I realized that my Dahlia web site was erased! It was built in "Google Sites" and was linked invisibly to my email account.
My original website using Blogger was not affected, so some of the old data was recovered from there, as a start to re-build my dahlia website.
In the end, I had deleted all my data from email, Google Drive, & Google Photos, Google Sites,
but my account remained locked!
I tried a number of times to contact Google to let them know about the bug in their email system, but without any luck.
So here is a new beginning.
My new email address is: DouglasDahlia779@gmail.com
I will use it only for my dahlia blog
